“i got to keep on keepin’ on”

Oh, and because i have them now, photos of my newest project. It’s a half-circle skirt, but with darts in the back, because without them it kind of stuck out funny off my butt. I’ve never done darts before, so i’m pleased it turned out. It’s nice and light and airy. It isn’t as much fun as the trumpet skirt, but then i don’t really do anything fun in them anyway, so cute will suffice.
Also, i read the last Harry Potter book Saturday. I think the 6th one was quite a bit better. But i also think i did the book a disservice by reading it because Saturday was painfully boring and lonely rather than because i really wanted to.

One trick to getting really nice darts is to make it gradual. The more fabric you take in, the longer your dart has to be. If it comes to a point too abruptly, you’ll get a little pucker. I’ve also had that happen when I backstitch over the end of the seam–I think it’s important to keep your backstitch directly over the original seam, especially if you’re working with a lightweight fabric.
But yours look great!
thanks! =)
no problem:)
