San Francisco was awesome. I am jealous of trains especially, and public transit in general. I am jealous of the cold weather, although i was fucking freezing! And of Chinatown, or, for that matter, more than one quality (non-sushi) Asian restaurant of any sort.

We stayed in Oakland, which i appreciated for it’s combination of cityness and relative calm, because San Francisco itself was a bit overwhelming at times.

We got to have brunch with alphafemme and her lady! They are lovely, as expected (thanks, ya’ll!). It is exciting to me, also, to do moderately normal things on vacation. I much prefer brunch to tourist attractions. Although we did some of those too, the most exciting of which was clam chowder – if food counts. That and the jellyfish. I was completely enamored of the jellyfish at the aquarium. I think Jamie had to drag me away so we could look at the rest, which was also quite cool – but not as awesome as the jellyfish.

so cool!

Oddly enough, though, with everything we got to do and all of the being in a new place, the nicest part was spending time with Jamie. Which seems silly, because now we have the same schedules, we’re home together almost every evening. But i can’t remember the last time we sat in bed and talked. And, really, we don’t make a whole lot of time for doing other fun things in bed either. It was a little sad. I suppose we’ll work on that. Only, i’m unclear how much we can do about it. I am alarmed by how busy we are, considering how little it seems like we really do.

It was SO nice to meet the two of you, too! I’m glad you had a good trip. :) :)
