“pretend i’m someone that you don’t know”

December 18, 2007

It’s only a small rant.

But i want to address the Gay Lifestyle.  The easy thing to say is that there is no fuckin’ gay lifestyle.  Obviously – i’m preaching to the choir her (i think – as far as who i know reads this thing anyhow).  But i want to elaborate.  I figured out what my problem with this really is a little while back when i was having bible verses and hate screamed at me from a balcony (that is, the problem other than the fact that that’s a stupid, bitchy way to try to get your point across).  What pisses me off is that these people were condemning me and my friends for…walking aroung, talking, eating nachos and coke on a park bench while being gay.  I don’t get it.

Frankly, i don’t entirely mind or care if you tell me i’m going to hell because want to fuck around, because i get wasted and make out with strangers.  I was raised with enough religion to almost agree.  That is, i don’t agree, because i think i’m a pretty good person and i try to be pretty moral about my moral turpitude.  But i really do understand how that sort of thing can freak you out.  What i don’t fucking get is where gender even comes into this.  Would it be fine if i were hooking up with strange guys?

My lifestyle and my gay have almost nothing to do with one another.  ‘Cause i can pretty well promise you that if i was straight i’d be doing the exact same thing.

The point?  Damn me, fine – i don’t believe in hell anyway.  But leave my sweet, monogamous, sober gay friends the fuck alone!

    A. Hell will be more fun, all of our friends will be there.
    B. I know I’m not going for being gay.
    C. This post is awesome! I hate running into the bible bangers around the city… they always say I am going to hell or trying to save me… and I’m like… I ALREADY BELIEVE! SCREW OFF!

The only gay agenda that I know about is the one that we had at QSA meetings… and that was only making fun of the conservative’s “homosexual agenda” and we named it that on purpose.

It’s so interesting that people believe that people act a certain way because they’re queer or black or Christian. Nope, they act that way because that’s WHO THEY ARE, asshole.

I DO believe that some people are born assholes though.

    well, essinem, there is this:

the “Gay Manifesto” was published as a (pretty obvious) satire in the 80s in some gay rag. it’s been taken fairly seriously by some of these right-wingers. there’s also a wonderful book called “the anti-gay agenda” that delves into all the right-wing creepiness – it’s interesting and scary.

    dylan: hell yes!
