“sippin’ life down like i wish i could”

October 15, 2007

Friday fun. Followed much the same pattern as last friday, actually; youth thing to bar to club. After the youth thing i was talking to one of the girls while a few folks were waiting for rides home. She’s like 15 or 16, and she was all pouty because this week it was mostly college kids and she felt out of place. I think her exact words were “young and stupid.” We chatted for a while – i assured her that i know people who are young and stupid, and she is not one of them. She’s actually a really cool kid. It was an interesting conversation for me, because i’ve never been in this position before. I’ve always been in her position of being one of the youngest people in a group and worrying that you’re just being a pest. Now i’m (i think) the oldest person in that group, and i feel just as strange. I guess getting on with folks has a lot more to do with who you are than with your age. Which is pretty easy to remember once everyone is an ‘adult’, but people don’t seem to think that’s still true with teens.

eww! ew, gross – there are wriggly wormy larva things in my mcvitties. eww! …anyhow…back to your regularly scheduled programming…and to my tea with no cookies. ew.

The bar was actually a lot of fun this week, it was 80s themed and actually pulled a bit of a crowd.

Went to the club, kind of on a whim. I ran into my old manager there, which was cool and surprising (in that way that seeing someone you haven’t seen in a long time is surprising, not actually surprising that he was there). In fact, he and my previous manager were dating – they are such a cute couple, i’m glad they’re still together.

I spent most of the rest of the night(morning) dancing and talking and making out with this girl. Mostly the latter. Check off another thing i’ve done. It was fun, she bought me a drink, and pulled me onto the dance floor…and it kind of went from there. The girl? She was girly, but in a really dykey way – if that makes sense. She has a sexy accent. And she was a little bit rough.  I mean, we were just kissing, so it wasn’t much – little hair pulls and stuff, but it was…nice.

Oh, and then this crazy coincidence. She gave me a ride home, and the cd that’s playing is the same one currently in my cd player – a local blueswoman whose cd i got for free at a show once. The only other people i know who know of her i dragged to see her. So, at least she has good taste in music ;)
