“she’s mad and she’ll take her mattress with her”
Today is a bad tech day. Our work email is fucked up – our hosting company gave our domain which we’ve paid forto somebody else yesterday. For the fun of it, i suppose. So, no work email. Okay, not the first time that’s gone down – i have a gmail account that i can use as a backup. It’s less professional and it kinda clutters my personal email with work stuff, but no biggie, it gets the job done. Except for when gmail is down for a few hours. Understand, most of the people i work with work from home, so we can’t just wander down the hall and swap flash drives. But, child of the internet that i am, i have another email address – the yahoo one i got when i was 12 and use to accumulate junk mail. So i got the email i needed…and then yahoo decided it doesn’t want to sendfiles, only receive them. Well, gmail is back now, so no problems, just delay. But damn – all on the same day? This is the first time i’ve ever had trouble with gmail for more than 5 minutes. Ain’t timing a bitch?
Oh, and it’s gotten cold and rainy. Which is kinda neat and kind of a pain in the…well, extremities, really. And the heater at work needs fixing – it works sometimes, and there are huge leaks in the ducts to make sure it never works well. But i’m in a chipper mood anyway, so it’s all good. But if i’m going to keep typing, it’s time for more tea to warm my fingers on!
On the bright side, it’s jacket time! I love cold-weather accessories - coats and scarves and hats and gloves. Especially coats. Andi think i found a place to live. It’s small and close and carpeted (ick) and the landlord is a sweet older guy. He’s a little unsure of letting Dog in, so we’ll have to wait and see. Dog’s about 5 pounds over the unofficial size cutoff, but he’s almost totally silent (and barking was the main concern the landlord had) and he’s the sweetest dog in the world, so i’m just banking on his ability to woo his way into the building. Oh, and she’s not mad, but she is taking her mattress. Indeed, i think she’s taking most of the furniture.
